This delightful silver dish was made by silversmith Henry Atkin in Sheffield, 1899.

Featuring a scallop-shaped body in addition to intricately pierced motifs, this dish presents an array of desirable and eye-pleasing characteristics.

The dish/bowl is slightly concaved and sits of three feet, providing for an excellent wide area to hold consumables such as fruits and sweets.

Each section of the scallop's sectors is slightly recessed staying true to its real-life model, further bringing out the intricacies and the aesthetic details in this piece.

The handle/base of the dish features a blank cartouche which is embedded within a border of chased scrolls.

Due to its large size compared to usual scalloped dishes, this provides for an excellent and practical vessel to hold fruits and berries such as strawberries in addition to other pieces of silverware such as berry spoons.

Full English hallmarks are present on the side of this dish. A wonderfully unique and large piece of silverware with intricately embellished decorations, ideal for adding a hint of marine life taste to your interior decor whilst also decorating your interior with a practical and indulging piece.
