1981 Porsche ‘INTERNAL’ 928 Brochure

Original Design & Engineering Features Book

for use by Salespeople & Porsche Personnel only

This 85-page Product Knowledge Manual gives all kinds of information about the Porsche 928 for the 1981 model year.

It was only printed for internal use, therefore, only printed in a very small run of copies.

It was distributed to dealerships for their salespeople to use and understand the Porsche cars from a Design and Engineering perspective.

The manual is designed to help the Salesperson to understand, and therefore enable him/her to present the many features which the 928 offers.

It covers features such as:

  • The Integral Bumper System
  • Unitized Construction
  • Negative Steering Roll Radius
  • Internal Disc Brake Ventilation
  • Transaxle Drive Train Configuration
  • AFC Fuel Injection
  • The Weissach Axle
  • Transistorized Breakerless ignition
  • Etc, etc…

Chapters include:

  1. The 928 Body
  2. The 928 Interior
  3. The 928 Engine and Powertrain
  4. Handling
  5. Porsche 928 Product Knowledge Test

In addition, it has a number of short tests throughout the book that are designed to help the salesperson understand certain concepts discussed.

It is quite amazing to see how much information Porsche has packed into this small book.  And since Porsche printed it, you can count on it being very accurate.
