OVERVIEW

A clean, fully functional Nikon FG — the compact early-1980s SLR that was the first Nikon to offer Programmed auto exposure alongside Aperture-Priority and full Manual. This one has been serviced on my bench and tested through a complete shooting cycle. It pairs with the versatile Zoom-Nikkor 35–70mm f/3.3–4.5 AI-S and comes as a complete outfit with the Nikon ever-ready case, neck strap, metal lens hood, UV filter, caps, and the original FG instruction manual.

CONDITION & HONEST DISCLOSURE

Cosmetically the body and lens present very well for their age (see photos, which form part of the description). Both body and lens carry their JCII “Passed” inspection stickers.

Lens — full transparency: Under a 365nm UV light the front group shows faint fluorescence consistent with trace organic material / possible early fungus. It is not visible under normal light and does not affect image quality in normal use. The optics look clear in normal viewing. Disclosed so you can buy with confidence.

Aperture stops down correctly through every click; the blades sit deep and are difficult to photograph clearly, but operation is confirmed. Sold as a tested, ready-to-shoot film outfit.
