This is the Fresh version rather than the plain Daily Oral Care, and the difference is real: it carries decaffeinated green tea extract and eucalyptus oil, which are there for the breath. The stick has Pedigree's X shape and a lightly abrasive texture so it works along the tooth rather than being swallowed whole.

  • This is DENTASTIX Fresh, not Daily Oral Care. Fresh contains decaffeinated green tea extract 0.2% and eucalyptus oil 0.03%; the plain version contains neither. If you are buying for the breath, Fresh is the one.

  • Free from artificial flavours and colours, and no added sugar, as Home Bargains and Pedigree both list.
  • Pedigree state that Dentastix is scientifically proven to reduce tartar by up to 80%, that it is recommended by vets, and that 4 out of 5 dogs over the age of 3 have gum disease. Those are the manufacturer's claims, quoted as theirs.
  • Composition: Cereals*, Derivatives of Vegetable Origin (including Decaffeinated Green Tea Extract 0.2%), Minerals (including Sodium Tripolyphosphate 2.4%), Meat and Animal Derivatives*, Oils and Fats (including Eucalyptus Oil 0.03%). *Natural Ingredients.
  • Analytical constituents: Protein 7.5%, Fat content 1.3%, Inorganic matter 5.7%, Crude fibre 0.20%, Moisture 16.5%. 299 kcal per 100g.
  • Additives per kg: Vitamin E 60.0mg, Zinc (zinc sulphate, heptahydrate) 228mg, Chicken flavour 182mg. Worth noting if you are avoiding chicken.

Delivery and Safety Info

Orders placed Monday to Friday are dispatched within 1 working day by Royal Mail or Evri. Very occasionally it takes 2. We do send parcels on Saturday where we can, but with fewer staff in we cannot promise every Saturday order goes out that day. Sunday we are closed and so are Royal Mail and Evri, so Sunday orders, and any Saturday orders we could not get out, are dispatched on Monday.

A treat, not a meal. Pedigree's guide is one stick a day for a dog of 25kg or more, and treats should be counted as part of the daily food. Always leave fresh drinking water down, and supervise your dog while it is chewing. Store the pack sealed in a cool dry place. Not suitable for puppies under four months.
