These issues trace the origins of his "two-way" (pitcher-batter) style through features on the Hanamaki Higashi High School baseball team, interviews with his mentors, a special interview titled "The Real Reason I Chose the Two-Way Path," records and rare photos from his three years of official high school games, and testimonials from teammates and rivals.
