From a page I wrote in the Worthpoint Dictionary: "When Disneyland opened in the 1950s, Disney found another opportunity to market production cels. In 1955, Disney sold original cels at the Art Corner in Disneyland. When the Art Corner closed, Disney sold cels at the Main Street Emporium into the late 1960s but stopped for a short period. Disneyland again started offering cels for sale in 1973. Beginning in the 1980s forward, Disney and other animation studios began to license selling rights to various art dealers and stores. They sold the framed cels as ready-made art pieces."

This cel is from the Art Corner period, 1955 to 1965.
