This Dutch-pressed, original first UK release Virgin CD consists of 12 of the rock and roll classics that The Beatles were known to have regularly performed in Hamburg. The specially put together Backbeat Band comprise rock legends Greg Dulli (Afhgan Whigs), Dave Pinner (Soul Asylum), Mike Mills (REM), Don Fleming (Gumball), Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters).
