Up for grabs here is a vintage Shure SM53 microphone. It is identical to the SM54, but with a smaller wind screen. It has a smoother high end than the common SM57/58, and has a switchable low filter to manage proximity effect low end build-up. These were first sold in the 70's, and were especially popular for vocalists, also for brass instruments and amps.

Elvis Presley used an SM53, customized with his name engraved on it, on stage in the 70’s! Frank Sinatra used one live as well in that era.

This one is in very good condition, sounds great, and comes with an original Shure zippered pouch.
