Antique R.M.S. Lusitania Enamel Souvenir Brooch Pin w/ Handwritten Provenance Note

Today we have a very rare Antique R.M.S. Lusitania enamel souvenir brooch / lapel pin featuring crossed British and American flags, gold-toned nautical rope border, and blue enamel banner reading “R.M.S. Lusitania.” 

The piece was received with a handwritten note stating: “Found on Officer’s cap, floating in Atlantic — J.W. Fry paid $1,000.00 at Auction for War Bonds at Lake Mohonk.” This note is included as found. The provenance has not been independently verified, so the item is being offered as a period Lusitania souvenir brooch with associated handwritten provenance.

*Condition*
Very good antique condition, with some light wear. Light enamel loss, discoloration, surface wear to gilt finish, darkened areas on reverse, and age-related soiling. Pin back present. Please review photos closely. These are a rare find, espeically with the pin back still intact.
