The Matco Tools BCW18 (and BCW18A) 18-Piece Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Set is a professional-grade automotive hand tool kit designed to compress and rotate rear brake caliper pistons safely back into the caliper housing during brake pad replacement. It provides dual thrust capability and heavy-duty, carbon steel components that prevent damage to the delicate caliper pistons and seals.
Dual-Direction Thrust Assemblies: Includes both left-handed and right-handed thrust bolt assemblies to accommodate varying manufacturer rotation standards.
Broad Compatibility: Comes equipped with a reaction plate and 15 adapters configured to fit hundreds of domestic, European, and Asian vehicle makes and models.
Left-Hand Specifics: The left-handed thrust bolt assembly is critically required for many Ford, Citroen, and Renault rear brake caliper designs.
Protective Design: Precisely machined adapter plates spread force evenly to protect the tight seals and boots surrounding the piston.
