When it comes to vintage 2 cycle powered motorcycles the innovative Scott comes to the mind of many. Here we have a1928 500cc Scott Flying Squirrel motorcycle with the 3 speed gearbox that was a project bought many years ago and never gotten to. This was a top of the line as the front forks fitted are the rare Scott braced telescopic forks, the fuel tank has the cylinder wall oiling pump body built into the bottom and the cylinder has the oiling ports which currently are blocked off with plugs.
Lower end spins freely with no tight spots, cylinders are at 040 but the one piston included is not in usable condition. Gas tank has damage to the left front corner and needs an internal cleaning but otherwise appear solid. There is most of a clutch included but the clutch release mechanism is missing. Magneto which also drives the Pilgrim oil pump has not been tested. Through the years several parts seem to have gone missing. Note that speedometers were optional at that time and no speedometer was fitted. Has a clear Tennessee title.
Transportation is up to the buyer. I do have an individual who can crate it up for a nominal charge and I can deliver to any shipped in a 50 mile radius of Columbia,TN.
