Pointer-Type Magnetometer, Magnetic Flux Meter, Residual Magnetism Tester
Magnetic testing accessories are used to directly measure the degree of magnetization in ferromagnetic materials and components during processing and use,
and are also used to indicate the residual magnetic field in workpieces after demagnetization following magnetic particle inspection.
Scope of Use: Magnetic Field Strength Meter
Instructions for Use:
When taking a measurement, place the arrow on this magnetic field strength meter against the workpiece being tested, and move the meter back and forth along both sides of the workpiece. The maximum value recorded during this movement represents the residual magnetism of the workpiece.
Precautions:
Due to the high sensitivity of this magnetometer, it is susceptible to the Earth’s magnetic field; therefore, measurements should generally be taken in an east-west orientation. If actual usage conditions prevent measurement in an east-west orientation, the reading should be adjusted to account for the influence of the Earth’s magnetic field.
Apart from the object being measured, there should be no strong magnetic fields in the surrounding environment to avoid increasing measurement errors.
Storage and Maintenance
This magnetometer is covered by a free repair or replacement warranty for any malfunctions occurring during normal use within 18 months of shipment.
If this magnetometer is not used for an extended period, please clean it and place it in a plastic bag. Store it at an ambient temperature of 0–40°C and a relative humidity of 80%, in an environment free of corrosive gases, strong magnetic fields, and intense mechanical vibrations.
