Antique silverplate napkin ring showcases intricate Victorian-era craftsmanship with a charming butterfly and floral motif. The cylindrical body features etched botanical details, including leaves and berries, bordered by delicate floral bands. Two figural butterflies are attached to the sides, adding a whimsical aesthetic to this classic table accessory. This piece carries a deep, authentic patina that highlights its age and history, making it a unique find for collectors of period silverplate or nature-themed decor.

Please note this item is missing its original base, though it retains its decorative appeal as a standalone piece or for repurposing.

I also can't find a makers mark on this piece - they're usually on the base. It does NOT appear to be a match for Meriden #209. The engraving on the butterfly wings is different, the length of the ring body is wider, it has etching, ,and aesthetically it doesn't seem to fit with the Chinese fan base.
