Completed in 2025 following a three-year build by Commando Customs & Classics of Savannah, Georgia, this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has been transformed into a modern restomod that blends classic muscle car presence with updated engineering and design. The body has been refinished in Nardo Gray, a modern OEM Audi Sport color, accented by dual black striping with red pinstripe outlines, complemented by shaved drip rails, a full chrome delete with color-matched bumpers and blacked-out trim, and modern LED headlights. A purposeful stance is established with 20" US Mag Grand Prix two-piece forged wheels wrapped in 245mm front and 275mm rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Power comes from a Stage 2 cammed 5.3L LS V8 rated at approximately 475 horsepower, paired with a 4L80E automatic transmission, and supported by a CVF Racing billet accessory drive, Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fans, and a custom stainless exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers.
