1960s Yanoman Japan Tin Battery Operated Space Scout S-17 Toy With Original Box.

Light blue lithographed tin battery-operated space vehicle which was made in Japan by Yanoman in 1963.

In action the space vehicle moves around whilst the astronaut pilot in control, fires his space gun that is illuminated and produces sound. He swings his gun from left to right just to make sure he hasn’t missed anything. The white dome at the front illuminates with swirling light and the antenna spins.

After testing the space toy with batteries, he does exactly as described above and is in FULLY WORKING condition at the time of listing this item, as shown in the video provided.

The space toy is in excellent condition for its age showing only minimal signs of wear and a few minor scratches and marks. There is some slight colour staining on the base of the vehicle. The battery compartment is clean and no damage or cracks to the plastic cockpit dome or front light section. Comes complete with original antenna. The front dome lights up with a kaleidoscopic pattern. Gun lights, moves and sounds.

The space toy is accompanied by its original box which shows usual expected signs of wear and tear with some creasing to corners, sides and ends.

Requires 2 x D Cell batteries (not included).
