Antique Cabinet Card Photograph. Depicting Albert N. Gooder and his wife Ada Estee Gooder. Albert was born September 9, 1860 in Wisconsin and died January 9, 1855 in Santa Cruz, California. He was the son of Hiram Gooder and Sarah Bottomley Gooder. Albert's wife was Ada Estee Gooder, whose parents were David Estee and Sarah Ellen Turner. The children of Albert and Ada included Grace Maude (married Albert N. Hoffman), Mabel Estee (married Manley Champlin), and Harold Glenn (married Helen Oliver). Comes with a handwritten photo album identifier as shown. Reverse side is blank. (A Carte de Visite photo of Albert is being sold separately.) Photo by C.E. Clench studio of Burlington, Wisconsin. Comes with a handwritten photo album identifier as shown. Measures approximately 4.25 x 6 including mount. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. It is in very good condition with bottom edge and bottom corners trimmed. Comments: An online genealogy search reveals Hiram Gooder was born in 1836 and died December 7, 1911. He is buried in Burlington, Wisconsin. Besides his wife Sarah Bottomley Gooder (1838-1890) it is also recorded he later married Henrietta Bottomley (1844-1926). A cabinet photo of Henrietta “Etta” Bottomley Gooder taken in Newark, New Jersey and another taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (sold separately) are also contained within this original collection. Hiram fathered at least four children including Albert Gooder (1860-1955) whose wife was Ada Gooder, Edwin Gooder (1863-1938), Alvin Emerson Gooder (1869-1909), and Minnie Gooder Noble. Additional Comments: The photo(s) in this listing were removed from a set of three antique albums originally belonging to Newton Henry Bottomley (1880-1967) and his wife Edna May Hay (1887-1976) who lived in Price, Wisconsin. Many of the other album photos, which are sold separately, were taken in Racine Co. Wisconsin and included Bottomley and related families Sheard, Gooder, Hay, Burns, Skewes, and Hoyt.
