Powerful OBD2 Breakout Box
This automotive diagnostic tool provides easy access to the OBDII diagnostic link connector, allowing for convenient and safe monitoring of signals related to protocol, power, and grounds after connecting to your vehicle's OBDII system. The OBDII protocol detector can also be connected to a multimeter or oscilloscope for further testing when unconfirmed signals are detected. Ideal for diagnosing and modifying cars or trucks.
Key Features:
- OBD2 Communication/Signal & Power Supply & Grounding Detection: Quickly assess the communication, power supply, and grounding of the OBDII interface using color-coded LED lights. Yellow LEDs indicate communication with the vehicle, green LEDs confirm proper grounding, and red LEDs signal normal power supply.
- Protocol Line Detection: Detects various signals including K-line, L-line, CAN bus, and PWM protocol lines. Easily measure CAN bus signals by placing a junction box between the breakout box and the vehicle.
- OBD2 Scanner Detection: Connect your OBD2 scanner; if the information on the scanner matches the lights on the breakout box, it confirms that the scanner is functioning properly. The built-in input jack accommodates any 4mm banana plug for detailed signal detection.
- 16 Pins Design & 35-inch Extension Cable: The layout simulates the 16-pin configuration of the OBDII interface for quick and intuitive testing. All pins can be easily connected without direct operation on the OBDII interface. Includes female and male connectors with a 35-inch extension cable.
Important Notes:
- Avoid jumpering pins together without understanding the circuits.
- Do not power a load device exceeding 1 amp.
- Avoid placing a jumper between power pin 16 and ground pins 4, 5.
- The yellow LEDs will flash to indicate changes on corresponding data lines, while green and red LEDs remain active for pins 4, 5, and 16.
