This is an original / vintage Donkey Kong arcade translite / marquee that was signed by the 'King of Kong' Steve Wiebe during the "Kong Off 2" at the 1UP in Denver, CO in November of 2012.
Other notable players such as Hank Chien and Billy Mitchell were also present during the event, and the event was officiated by Walter Day.
This translite / marquee was purchased at the event and signed by Steve Wiebe who was coming off of recent popularity starring in the documentary "King of Kong - Fistful of Quarters".
I purchased this with the extend of building a MAME or some sort of multi-game arcade cabinet, but after years of storing this item, and the prospects of actually building the cabinet being slim, I've decided to part with a pretty interesting piece of arcade history.
Note on the condition of this item: This is an original translate from the 1981 release of Donkey Kong. This was sourced from an actual arcade cabinet. This is not a reproduction. As such there is wear on the front and back of the item. That said it is still in very good condition for a 45 year old item.
