Vintage 1960s French Empire Brass and Cut Glass 5-Light Hanging Hall Lantern
An impressive and exceptionally well-made French hanging lantern dating from approximately the 1960s.
The lantern features a substantial solid brass frame with classical architectural detailing and beautifully cut clear glass panels. Five candle-style lights create an elegant and atmospheric illumination through the faceted glass.
Its tall cylindrical form, ornamental brass crown and balanced proportions are characteristic of the French Empire and Neoclassical Revival styles.
With a weight of approximately 15.4 lb, this is a substantial vintage lighting fixture suitable for an entrance hall, foyer, staircase, hallway or dining area.

Condition:
The lantern is in very good vintage condition. It has been professionally cleaned and carefully inspected. The cut glass panels are intact, with no visible damage.
Minor surface marks, natural patina and other light signs of age may be present and are consistent with a genuine vintage lighting fixture. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.

The chandeliers has been professionally cleaned, restored when necessary. The chandeliers are in very good condition. Standard light bulbs, LED bulbs, energy-saving lamps or halogen bulbs with screw sockets are suitable as light sources. The Chandeliers and the electrics can be used worlwide. After purchase I will send you further country-specific information. Despite being in working order, the electrics of the chandelier are a free addition in this auction, but are expressly not part of the purchase contract. All chandeliers/lamps should always be connected by a qualified electrician.
