A charming antique ceramic bin label, originally intended for use in a wine cellar, drinks cabinet or decanter display. The label has a shaped cream-coloured ceramic body with bold black CLARET lettering and a central hanging hole with cord.

An attractive Georgian period wine-related collectible, ideal for collectors of antique barware, wine cellar items, country house pieces, Georgian ceramics or decorative pottery.

Condition:

There are visible signs of age and use, including small surface marks, minor scuffs, speckling, slight edge wear, and small marks/chips along the lower edge. The black “CLARET” lettering remains clear and displayable, with some light age-related wear visible on close inspection.

The rear side has old adhesive / paper residue, staining, and a faint handwritten inscription. These have not been removed and are part of the item’s history and character.
