A nifty and unusual little gadget to add to your collection
of everything sewing – a gauge to help you cut bias or other strips of fabric
without the need for marking out. You
can cut three different widths using the letters on the side of the gauge: F is for facings, B for 7/8th” binding and C
for very narrow cording or piping.
Using a pair of very thin bladed scissors pop the tip of the
lower scissor blade into the channel in the gauge, having set the width you
wish to cut (see photo). Put your fabric
into the gauge where the blue spring will keep it aligned and allow you to cut
your strips.
Please note that the scissors are for illustrative purposes
only.
Condition: in used with marks and signs of use. Ready to be used again. Do check out the photos for the detail.
