This coin comes straight out of the store owner's personal private collection. Originally acquired back in the 1970s, it has remained safely stored away in a dark, climate-controlled environment for roughly 50 years. It features a proud single-owner history with zero secondary market trade or handling.

PACKAGING DETAIL:

The coin is accompanied by the original detailed description neatly cut from its genuine 1970s Littleton Coin Company informational pocket envelope. The vintage paper snippet remains beautifully intact, describing the background of the coin, the Bank of Korea issuance, and the significance of the national floral motif.

COIN ANATOMY & DESIGN:

Struck in lightweight aluminum, this piece represents one of the earliest designs of the modern South Korean Won currency era.

- OBVERSE (Front): Displays the large numeral "1" indicating the denomination, beautifully flanked by the English text "THE BANK OF KOREA" and "1969" arched along the left rim border.

- REVERSE (Back): Features a highly detailed, delicate engraving of a Hibiscus syriacus (Rose of Sharon), the revered national flower of South Korea, surrounded by Korean Hangul script.

- EDGE: Plain / Smooth.
