About the Game
Released alongside the Game Boy in 1989, Super Mario Land was Mario's first handheld adventure and remains one of the most important titles in Nintendo history.
Set in the kingdom of Sarasaland, Mario must rescue Princess Daisy from the mysterious alien invader Tatanga. Across four unique worlds, players travel through deserts, oceans, skies and ancient ruins while battling unusual enemies not seen in the main Super Mario series.
The game introduced distinctive vehicle stages, including submarine and aircraft levels, giving it a unique identity among classic Mario titles. Its pick up and play design, memorable soundtrack and historic importance make it an essential title for any Game Boy collection.
