Antique Armand Marseille AM 2 DEP Bisque Doll 1894 41 cm 16.1 in
Antique German bisque doll made by
Armand Marseille.
An early Armand Marseille doll marked:
“AM 2 DEP Made in Germany”
Dating from approximately 1894.
This doll measures approx. 41 cm (16.1 inches), a lovely cabinet size.
She retains her original composition body, which shows age-related wear including scratches, paint loss, and small chips.
Please note:
She has large, charming fixed eyes and the characteristic thick eyebrows seen on early AM dolls.
(Any apparent breaks in the brows are due to lighting in the photographs.)
She features finely painted upper and lower eyelashes and an open mouth showing four teeth.
Her expression has a delightful charm reminiscent of French dolls.
The original brown paperweight wig remains attached, however it is uneven and shows tangling and flattening, especially at the back of the head.
The antique dress has fraying and tears.
The socks also have tears.
The vintage necklace, hat, and shoes are later additions.
One shoe has damage and crushing at the heel area, making it easy to slip off.
Please check all photos carefully for details and condition.
