This exceptional example is executed in fine cloisonné enamel, featuring vibrant cobalt blue, turquoise, green, and white enamels arranged in an intricate traditional Russian floral motif. The interior retains its original fire-gilded (vermeil) finish, showing only honest age-related wear.
The kovsh bears the rectangular hallmark with clipped corners “Н.З.”, confirming authorship by Nikolai Zverev, a highly respected Moscow silversmith known for his refined enamel work often compared to Fabergé-era quality.
