We offer a sturdy coin silver Ladle by Farrington & Hunnewell who were active in Boston, Massachusetts c.1835-1885.  The ladle  measures 7-3/8" in length with a bowl measuring 2-1/2" wide. The handle is engraved with vines which taper to a bunch of grapes down the stem.  The handle is monogrammed with a Gothic "F".  The maker's mark "* F & H *" and "PURE COIN" are stamped on the stem verso. This graceful serving piece weighs 2.045 Troy ounces and is in excellent condition.
