Made by Agfa of Germany for Ansco Corporation and released in 1948.  Takes standard 35mm film cassette.  This Karomat camera is simply the Karat 36 rebadged for the US market and has the less common f/2 Heligon lens in the Synchro Compur shutter.  Most cameras have a 50mm Solinar or Xenar lens and may not have the synchronized shutter for use with a flash.
