Beautiful antique Victorian / early 20th century washstand pitcher (ewer)!
This elegant ceramic pitcher is from a classic bedroom washstand set, popular before indoor plumbing. It features a vibrant cobalt blue floral transfer pattern (roses and foliage) on a white ground with blue shading at the top, accented by gold gilding on the scalloped rim, ornate handle, and decorative details.
Key Features:
• Height: Approximately 12 inches tall (see measuring photo)
• Design: Dense blue floral motif with raised/molded details, scalloped wavy rim, and graceful curved handle
• Material: Ceramic / ironstone-style with glossy glaze
• Condition: Good vintage/antique condition with expected crazing (fine crackling in the glaze – typical of age and use). Some normal wear to the gold trim. No chips, cracks, or major damage noted. A visible mold seam confirms traditional manufacturing methods of the era.
• Markings: Unmarked on the base (common for many mid-tier wash set pieces)
This pitcher would make a stunning display piece, vase, or decorative accent for Victorian, farmhouse, cottagecore, shabby chic, or antique decor. It has great presence and character!
Perfect for collectors of transferware, ironstone, or Victorian toiletware.
