Over the coming months, I’ll be having a huge clear out of personally collected vintage, antique and architectural items. These pieces are all from my own personal collection — once they are gone, they are gone.
On offer is a vintage cast iron casement window fastener complete with the separate catch / keep that it secures against. A lovely traditional piece of architectural ironmongery typical of the type used on wooden casement windows during the 1930s–1950s period, though I cannot be certain of the exact age.
This example is genuine old shop stock and appears never to have been used, though it does show signs of ageing and storage wear from having been stored away for many decades. It may benefit from a little lubrication before use.
A superb item for restoration projects, period properties, traditional joinery or decorative display.
At the time of listing I have a few of these available — the price shown is for one fastener and matching catch only.
The final photograph shows the original box purely for reference purposes and it is not included in the sale.
