QWhere do I find my ECM part number?
It is on a sticker on the ECM unit itself ? under the hood near the firewall, under the dash, or behind the glove box. The number typically begins with 12 or 16.
QWhat if I do not know my part number?
Send us your VIN and full vehicle details and we will cross-reference compatibility. That said, we strongly recommend confirming the number physically on your existing ECM for a guaranteed match.
QMy vehicle has PassLock or VATS ? will this work?
Yes, in most cases. A brief theft relearn cycle is occasionally required. It is free, takes under 30 minutes at home, and we will walk you through each step.
QMy vehicle is a flex fuel vehicle ? anything special?
Yes. If there is any E85 in the tank, drain it and flush the lines before installing the new ECM so it can properly calibrate on gasoline.
