Model:  This watch is a RARE & MAGNIFICENT example of Vintage Memovox with Two-Tone TAXEDO Dial with a very elegant & unique feel to it. .

Dial: its BREATH -TAKING Black, & Silver Dial must have been recently refinished customized to look in such STUNNING condition. 

Movement:  has just been inspected by watch repair shop: it is RUNNING WELL & KEEPS TIME. Ready to wear and enjoy as soon as it arrives!

Condition: GOOD Vintage Condition.

Band: Non-authentic Black Leather Strap.

This rare timepiece is Don Draper’s watch from the first two seasons of Mad Men. It is perfectly chosen to align with Draper’s character development, as well as to match the feel of the 1960s. Also, JLC is an iconic brand, and Don Draper is an iconic character.

This line of JLC was very popular with businessmen in the 1960s: the mechanical alarm clock function served as a personal assistant and, especially with the “Tuxedo” configuration, was more than appropriate for events and formal settings-a perfect watch for Don Draper, and one that compliments the hustle and bustle of the “Big Apple” in the first season.

The brash, outspoken protagonist of the critically acclaimed show Mad Men, is a complex, layered character, with an intricate and dark backstory. In the first season, set in 1960 when he’s starting out at the ad agency, Don Draper’s watch is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox.
This watch is symbolic of his status at the company, as it is a JLC starter model. The edition Draper wears, nicknamed the “Tuxedo,” features a black outer ring, white inner dial, and steel case. It is practical, with its built in alarm feature, and attractive with a hint of retro.
Its dial was certainly recently refinished to look in such outstanding condition. The watch comes with our usual Raffaello's microfiber cleaning cloths.

Timepiece is not waterproof unless stated in the listing. We are not professional watchmakers so are not aware of many details. Vintage watches of course do not have the same accuracy of a quartz watch and may go up to +2/-2 minutes per day.

Domestic Shipping:  ready for shipping within 2 business days at most since receiving cleared payment. In order to avoid lost packages at delivery, we ship the item fully insured, well packaged and (when for order of 2k) to the eBay authenticator. 

For additional legal protection (just in case something happen to the content of the package during the shipment) we encourage the buyer to videotape the opening of the box in a safe location (not inside the shipping location). This will protect both buyer and seller in case anything happens to the package during its transit to destination.

International Shipping:   

A) We do ship using eBay international (please check eBay Int'l shipping regulations).

B) Another International shipping option is via FedEx and only if all of the following 4 conditions are met:

1) Buyer's Address is in one of the following Countries: • Hong Kong, • Europe (Except for France and some of the Eastern European Countries (*)) • UK • Canada • Japan • Australia.

(*)Unfortunately, due to issues with INSURANCE COVERAGE we do not ship to France, some Eastern European Countries, China, Saudi Arabia, South America).

2) Buyer provides a COMMERCIAL Address (we do not deliver to P.O. Boxes, nor to APO nor FPO addresses) and insures that his eBay registered Name and Address info are correct;

3) Buyer accepts that Seller does not offer return option for international sales (this is because seller would have to pay custom fees to get the watch back into the USA);

4) Buyer has read and agreed to the Import Duties info listed below.
IMPORT DUTIES INFO:

Import duties, taxes, VAT, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. Please be aware that VAT import duty tax is NOT included in the price and will be covered by the buyer (in addition to the shipping costs). For any concern, please check with your Country customs office or with your local reliable post office or Fedex to find out your tax % to determine what these additional costs will be, prior to buying (declaring a gift does not work, it is based on the insured value of the item).
