The active substance in Troxevasin is troxerutin. Troxerutin strengthens the walls of blood vessels (capillaries). Troxevasin gel is used to relieve swelling and symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency (fatigue, heaviness, swelling, pain and stiffness, numbness and tingling in the legs, pain after sclerotherapy or prolonged travel), as well as to relieve pain and swelling from traumatic origin such as sprain or muscle injury.

 

Contraindications

If you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of Troxevasin.

 

Special contraindications and special warnings for use

Troxevasin gel should not be applied to mucous membranes, open wounds and eczema.

 

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction

There are no data on drug interactions.

 

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. There are no data on side effects on the fetus and newborn when using the product.

 

Driving and using machines

After application of Troxevasin gel, skin irritation reactions are very rare - redness, itching, skin rash. They pass quickly after stopping treatment.

Ingredients 

The active substance in 1 g of gel is troxerutin 20 mg.

The other ingredients are: carbomer, edetate disodium, benzalkonium chloride, trolamine, purified water.

Benzalkonium chloride is an irritant and may cause skin reactions.

 

Directions for use

It is applied externally, twice a day. The gel is rubbed in with light, massaging movements until completely absorbed. If necessary, it can also be applied under a tight or elastic bandage.
