This is an authentic Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) Type 3 officer tunic.
The fabric is a high-quality wool-linen blend (wool and linen mixed fabric), tailored as a lightweight summer uniform with a soft and comfortable texture.
A white name cloth is sewn inside the lower left area, stamped with the size marking:

The tunic is made in the proper officer-style construction, featuring a rear center vent and attached waist belt.
The front buttons are also the correct officer specification type, secured through metal rings fitted into the buttonholes.
The tunic remains in near-unused excellent condition. There are two small reinforcement patches attached to the back area (please see photos), and the fabric around them has slightly hardened due to an adhesive-like substance. These appear to be old repairs, although it is unclear whether they were applied during or after manufacture.
Other than this, there are no noticeable tears, stains, or fraying, and the overall condition is exceptionally well preserved.
