Since its debut in 1983, G-SHOCK has continued to pursue toughness. The GWG-B1000MG “Magma Gold” is a special model that blends the expression of natural beauty with the MUDMASTER, the flagship of the historic MASTER OF G series.

By combining a downsized, compact body with a high-precision forged metal exterior (Metal Shield) and a carbon core guard structure, it achieves both excellent durability and comfort. Designed to combine the lightness of carbon fiber-reinforced resin with the toughness of metal, it offers reliability capable of withstanding extreme environments.

The design draws inspiration from the red-orange hues of flowing magma and the golden landscapes formed as it solidifies. The indices and hands feature the intense red and orange of magma, while the metal parts utilize multiple gold-toned IP coatings to emphasize structural beauty through layered gold tones. The band features a garal molding process that blends different colored resins to create a marble pattern, evoking the cross-section of geological strata. Furthermore, the case and other components utilize biomass plastic, achieving a balance between robustness and environmental consideration. This timepiece embodies the “beautiful toughness” gained through withstanding harsh environments.

In terms of functionality, in addition to radio-controlled solar power, it is equipped with a triple sensor capable of measuring direction, barometric pressure/altitude, and temperature. High-visibility features such as a high-intensity fully automatic double LED light and sapphire crystal ensure excellent visibility and time readability. It also features a location indicator function: by setting a specific location* via the app, the indicator hand at the 3 o’clock position will always point in that direction. This supports the user’s navigation even when visibility is obstructed by sandstorms or other conditions.
