The tote bag is folded and tucked inside the small pouch when not in use.  When in use, the pouch can be attached to the totebag handle with a 2" chain (which is a great place to store cellphone, keys or other small items). 

Tote bag measures approx. 14&1/2"h x 10&1/4"w with 4&1/4" bottom.  Small pouch measures appox. 3&1/4"h x 3"w.
