JIMMY WITHERSPOON "Feelin' The Spirit" LP . Rare original issue from 1959 on HIFI Records R-422 in mono. This is a promotional copy with the labels & cover stamped "Demonstration Only Not For Sale". This features Jimmy Witherspoon with the Randy Van Horn Singers. The songs are "Every Time I Feel The Spirit", "Deep River", "I Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray", "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child", "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen", I Want To Be Ready", "Steal Away To Jesus", "Oh, Mary Don't You Weep", "Go Down Moses" & "The Time Has Come".
Condition/Cover : This cover is in super nice VG+ to VG++ condition with a small tear on the front slick at the right upper corner and a small light "6124-59" written in pencil on the back (see photo below)!! This cover is very flat & crisp looking with NO seamsplits, NO writing, NO tears, NO creases, NO ringwear & sharp corners. In the photo below, the spot at the bottom of the cover is from the flash of my camera. This is NOT on the cover. Flash only.
Condition/Vinyl : The vinyl shines like new with 100% gloss and is in VG++ condition with a series of light scratches on "Deep River" that cause a click for about 14 revolution otherwise this plays great & is close to NM.
Condition/Labels : The labels are NM- and would be NM if not for the promotional stampings.
