Fine pair of Victorian sterling silver salt cellars in the form of baskets with the original spoons.  Maker Woodward & Co, London 1885.  Half fluted design.

 

Marks: maker mark EF HT (Woodward & Co - Edgar Finley & Hugh Taylor); lion silver mark; date letter K for the year 1885; London assay office mark; Queen Victoria portrait duty mark.  The spoons have identical hallmarks.

Dimension: approx 2¼ inches long.


Weight: 1.79 troy oz (55.8g) combined.

 

One salt has a dent to the rim (see photo).  Minor blemish marks.  Overall excellent condition.
