Description
The Samyang 300mm f/6.3 Reflex ED UMC CS is a compact catadioptric mirror lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras, giving a 600mm equivalent field of view in a lens barely larger than a standard zoom. Folding the light path with mirrors keeps it remarkably short and light for its reach, making it easy to carry for wildlife, birding, the moon and distant detail. Like all mirror lenses it has a fixed f/6.3 aperture, so exposure is set with shutter speed and ISO, and out-of-focus highlights take on the distinctive ring-shaped bokeh that reflex lenses are known for. ED glass and Samyang's UMC multi-coating help control colour fringing and flare. Focus is manual, which pairs well with the focus peaking and magnification on Olympus and Panasonic bodies. The lens shows average signs of use, nothing that affects its performance, and comes boxed with both caps and the hood.
Why Choose?
600mm equivalent reach in a lens that fits in a jacket pocket. A fun, affordable way into long telephoto for Micro Four Thirds shooters.
