Original Babyland General soft sculpture Cabbage Patch Kid "Joyce Retha" in a complete 1989 Halloween zebra costume, numbered 1223 of 3000 from the Amber Edition. This is the full-size 22" hand-stitched, cloth-face version made in Cleveland, Georgia — not the mass-market vinyl-head Coleco doll.
The costume is a black and cream zebra-stripe suit with black knit cuffs and collar, black feet, a matching hood with black yarn mane and floppy ears, and a stuffed zebra tail with a big black yarn tassel. Ties at the back of the neck. The doll has a full head of black loop yarn hair, brown eyes, freckles and a single dimple.
Condition: Displays very well. Hair is full and thick. Costume is complete (hood, ears, mane, tail, tassel all present) with light wear. One eye shows crazing/lifting to the clear coating — pictured up close. No birth certificate or adoption papers. Please see photos — they are part of the description.
Approximately 22 inches tall. Ships carefully packed from Easton, PA.
