[Item Description]
This is FERNANDES' domestic guitar, TEJ-80.

This is a rare model that is the only one in the TEJ series that has a pickguard.
In addition, the control plate and shark inlay are rare specifications only found in the TEJ-80/85.

As it was a domestic model at the time, the body material in the catalog is Alder or Sen.
Judging from the neck pocket, it appears to be alder.

If the color of the rosewood on the fingerboard is pale, the matching with the black of the body is poor and it tends to look cheap, but this model uses black and the shark inlay (probably white pearl oyster) also stands out.

The pegs are made by Gotoh. The bridge is also made by Gotoh, and since it is an early model, the plate and saddle are both made of brass, which is an advantage. (It becomes a steal from the middle.)

The controls are volume, 3-way blade switch (pickup selection), and 3-way toggle switch (high cut, off, low cut).
I liked the 3-way toggle switch, which made it very easy to use.

The pickup is active with early F.G.I Technology and powered by a 9V battery.

I thought it was noiseless, had a good sense of separation, and had good effects, and was very compatible with modern digital equipment.

Personally, I felt it was enough without changing to EMG's SA or 81.

The neck shape is wide and surprisingly not thin.
Of course it's on the thin side, but I get the impression that it's thicker than I expected.

There is no binding peeling that is common with TEJs, and considering the model year, I think it is in good condition.

The cutaway on the 6th string side is connected to the 16th fret.

The neck pocket and pickup cavity have very high processing precision and are very well made.

The frets use jumbo frets, so there is little wear. (About 90% subjective.)

I haven't touched the truss rod since I owned it.

The neck has a slight warp and no twisting.

Of course there are no problems and there is no problem with playing.

Thank you very much m(._.)m
