A 1940s Chinese export 144 tile Mahjong set, in original leather box, with dice, counters and wind counter. Comes with some original paperwork and keys for box. In good condition for age with signs of use and wear but no major damage. The wind counter has some nibbling round the edge. The tiles are Chinese bakelite and the counters and dice are bone. A lovely authentic set from the 1940s. There is a receipt for a textile company in bombay from 1948 for a yard of green woollen material, which I believe the owner had his trays and box lined with. It's a lovely addition to go with this charming set. Please see photos and ask any questions. I have noticed the small dice box is split and one of the lips has broken off. Still works.
