Published by Associated Newspapers Limited, London. Undated; circa 1935. Appears consistent with copies described by other sellers as the first edition, although no edition or printing statement is present and first-edition status has not been independently verified.

Hardback with colour pictorial boards, a blue cloth spine and illustrated endpapers. Illustrated in colour and black and white, with circus stories and features covering clowns, performing animals, trapeze acts, acrobats, wire walkers and jugglers.

No dust jacket.

Used vintage condition. The covers have surface marks, rubbing and wear to the edges and corners, with some loss to the printed covering, particularly near the lower spine corner. There is a white mark on the spine on the blue clothed edge. The page edges are browned with age, with some toning and occasional marks to the pages. The first page shows a slight split in the end page at the spine.
