🎧 ROG-Tuned HIFIMAN 100mm Planar Magnetic Drivers, Open-Back Design, MEMS Microphone & Interchangeable Ear Pads
The ASUS ROG Kithara is a premium wired gaming and audiophile headset developed by ROG in collaboration with HIFIMAN. It combines large 100mm planar magnetic drivers with an open-back acoustic design for a wide soundstage, detailed imaging and low distortion. ASUS specifies an ultra-wide 8Hz–55kHz frequency response.
The Kithara uses 100mm planar magnetic drivers developed with HIFIMAN and tuned by ROG. The design uses HIFIMAN's Neo Supernano diaphragm and Stealth Magnet technology to provide detailed reproduction and exceptionally low distortion.
The ultra-wide 8Hz–55kHz response provides extended bass and treble reproduction, making the headset suitable for both gaming and high-quality music listening.
The open-back construction creates a spacious, natural soundstage with clear separation between bass, mids and treble. This is particularly useful for competitive gaming, where accurate positional imaging can help identify the direction of footsteps and other in-game sounds.
Because it is open-back, the headset allows sound to escape and provides little isolation from the surrounding environment, making it best suited for indoor listening.
The integrated MEMS boom microphone provides a 20Hz–20kHz frequency response and is designed for clear, natural voice communication. Its separate signal channels help minimize crosstalk between the headphone and microphone signals.
The included cable uses swappable connectors, providing:
✔️ 4.4mm balanced connection
✔️ 3.5mm single-ended connection
✔️ 6.3mm single-ended connection
✔️ USB-C adapter
This allows the Kithara to work with DACs, headphone amplifiers, PCs, consoles, Macs and compatible mobile devices.
The headset features an adjustable headband, metal frame and interchangeable ear cushions. ASUS includes different pad materials, allowing users to customize both comfort and the acoustic character of the headphones.
