The Walthers Proto 920-105419 is a ready-to-run HO scale 65' Thrall mill gondola decorated for CSX, #720154. Long, open cars like this one are workhorses of the steel industry, hauling raw material, finished product, structural steel and scrap between mills and customers. The model captures the Thrall design with crisply molded ribs and rivets sized to match prototype photos and drawings, so #720154 looks right whether it runs loaded or empty.

Item 920-105419 wears factory-applied grab irons and ladders as separate parts, with separately applied brake components and piping detailing the underbody. It rolls on ultra-smooth metal axles with RP-25 contour 36 scale inch wheels and is fitted with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. The prototypes entered service in the 1970s and remain in use through the modern era, making CSX #720154 at home moving structural steel or pipe. Minimum radius is 24".
