VINYL: VG+

SLEEVE: VG

ORIGINAL PRINTED INNER: VG+

STAR RATS POSTER: VG+

Original 1972 UK first pressing of Hawkwind’s Doremi Fasol Latido on United Artists Records, UAG 29364, complete with the original printed inner sleeve and large fold-out Star Rats poster.

This is the original pressing with the distinctive cream United Artists labels showing “Manufactured in Germany”, together with the blocked-out manufacturing text around the label rim.

Matrices / runouts:

Side 1: UAG 29364 A-2U (machine stamped) / 29364-A / PECKO (hand etched)

Side 2: UAG 29364 B-2U (machine stamped) / 29364 / PORKY (hand etched)

The PECO / PORKY inscriptions identify the George “Porky” Peckham cut.

The vinyl is VG+, retaining a good glossy appearance. There are some light storage/sleeve marks and a number of fine lines visible under strong light, particularly on Side 2, but nothing that seriously affects playback. There is only light spindle evidence to the labels.

The record has been deep cleaned and fully play-checked. It plays very well with strong, clear audio throughout, with some light background crackle audible mainly during quieter passages. The heavyweight vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable with no dishing.

The original metallic silver and black sleeve is VG. As is common with this particularly vulnerable sleeve design, there is general age-related surface and edge wear, including light ring wear, some edge creasing and a couple of faint old sticker traces. The spine shows wear but remains largely legible. “DA-72” is present at the lower corner of the rear sleeve.

The original orange printed inner sleeve with angled corners is VG+ and is particularly well preserved, with remarkably little wear to the bottom edge and no major splitting.

Also complete with the original large fold-out Star Rats poster. The poster is VG+, showing normal light handling and some age-related toning/yellowing, but importantly has no tears or pinholes.

The record is now housed separately in a new black poly-lined inner sleeve to protect both the vinyl and the original printed inner.

A very presentable and substantially complete original 1972 copy, with the correct early label configuration, Porky/Peco cut, original inner and increasingly important Star Rats poster.
