A character-rich Inuyama bowl with vibrant Meiji folk artistry.

Description

SIZE 6.6 inch Wide

This Inuyama ware (犬山焼) pottery bowl from the Meiji (明治期) 19th C period was carefully sourced in Japan. The interior displays bold red motifs (赤絵) accented with green enamel over a naturally crackled glaze. The rustic clay body and freely brushed decoration are consistent with mid to late nineteenth-century regional kiln production. Subtle kiln marks and surface texture add to its authentic presence. Suitable for tea settings, display shelving, or as part of a focused collection of Japanese folk ceramics.
