Check the fit, the glow and the cleaning: Measure the gap between the lugs on your watch – the two horns the strap sits between – and make sure it is 22mm; easiest is to take the old strap off and measure that. The glow is charged by light, not by a battery: a few minutes in daylight or under a lamp and it glows brightly at first, then fades over the following minutes the way luminous watch hands do. A pale strap wants cleaning more often than a dark one – warm soapy water and an old toothbrush along the edges, weekly, keeps it looking new and is far easier than rescuing it after a month.
