GALLON JUG
Stanley Insulating Co.
Great Barrington, Mass., U.S.A.
Patents Pending
Believed to date from approximately 1915–1921.
The jug includes the large Stanley-stamped aluminum outer lid/cup, cobalt-blue enamel inner stopper, and two nesting metal drinking cups with folding wire handles. The jug retains its original wooden carrying-handle grip.
Condition:
Authentic antique condition with surface oxidation, scratches, dents, discoloration, finish wear, and age-related wear throughout. The blue enamel stopper has enamel loss and an old repair or filler around the center rubber plug. The plug is also very loose. The folding cup handles show rust. The interior and insulating performance have not been tested, and the jug is being sold as a collectible display piece rather than guaranteed for beverage use.
