It has the same extra-large, heavy-duty insulated grip, plus a special clamp end fitting that takes electric fence tape up to 40mm wide – ideal for making a gateway from wide horse tape.The oversized handle keeps insulation reliable even in the rain and protects your hand, while an internal compression spring protects against over-extension for a longer life. How to Use Switch the energiser off before you start. Fit a gate anchor insulator to each gate post (sold separately). Tie the gate tape to the anchor on one post, cut it to length and fasten the free end in the clamp fitting of the handle. Hook the handle onto the gate anchor insulator on the opposite post and switch the energiser back on. Open the gateway by holding the insulated grip and unhooking the handle. To keep the rest of the fence live while the gateway is open, carry the power across the gateway with underground leadout cable.
