Morty's Gengar comes from the Pokemon Card VS series (2001), a Japan-only set featuring the Pokemon of Gym Leaders and Elite Four members. The VS series was printed only as 1st Edition and was never released outside Japan. Gengar is one of the most popular cards of the set. The 1st EDITION stamp and the card number 021/141 are printed at the bottom right (see photos 1 and 6).

The front shows light surface scuffs and small scratches over the purple text area (visible in photos 1, 3 and 5), and the edges and corners show whitening on both front and back (photos 6 to 10). No creases, bends, writing or tears are visible in the photos.
